Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program e-Learning Initiative

The Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program e-Learning Initiative is designed to provide digital education opportunities to underprivileged students across Africa. The program aims to enhance access to quality education through online platforms, equipping students with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in the modern economy.

The inaugural Times Higher Education (THE) Sub-Saharan Africa Universities Forum brought together representatives from universities across the region and globe to address critical challenges and chart a path towards transformational teaching and research.

UDI is one of four ASU units serving as key implementation partners to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program e-Learning Initiative. The initiative was launched in September 2020 to address the disruption to learning at higher education institutions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
