Dale P. Johnson, UDI Director of Digital Innovation, participated in a panel discussion at the Korean Ministry of Education Global Education and Innovation Summit in Seoul, Korea on September 21st. The theme of the conference this year was “Innovation Ecosystem of Education in the Era of Digital Transformation.” The Korean Minister of Education Dr. Ju-ho Lee opened the conference with a call to action for institutions throughout Asia to embrace technology in the teaching process.
Dale shared insights on ASU's mission driven digital innovations in learning and teaching developed over the past 20 years to enable student success. Other panelists included the director of UN Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), the president of Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea, the vice president of strategic growth and advancement at Minerva University, the director of UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, and the deputy CEO of QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
