Arizona State University welcomes a new group of senior faculty and staff leaders into the 10th cohort of the Advanced Leadership Initiative (ALI). Over the next six months, these leaders will participate in an immersive, practice-based experience designed to strengthen their ability to guide the university through complex challenges and opportunities.

This year’s milestone cohort marks ten years of ALI, a program that has become a cornerstone of the ASU-Centric leadership development ecosystem. Over the past decade, more than 100 fellows have completed the program — many of whom have gone on to lead major initiatives, advance academic innovation, expand research impact, and support operational excellence across ASU. The program’s first decade has built a strong, interconnected network of leaders who share a common commitment to service, creativity, and advancing ASU’s mission as a Public Enterprise. The 10th cohort steps into this legacy, continuing a tradition of learning, experimentation, and collaboration that has shaped the institution’s evolution.

The 10th ALI cohort includes 18 senior leaders representing 18 units across ASU, each nominated for their capacity to guide teams and advance transformative work. Throughout the program, participants will take part in three interactive workshops, receive individualized executive coaching, and engage directly with ASU’s executive administration. Fellows will also shadow leaders across the institution, gaining firsthand insight into strategic decision-making and operational complexity.

By the end of the program, cohort members will join the growing ALI alumni community, leaders who continue to collaborate, mentor, and drive forward solutions that strengthen ASU’s impact locally and globally.

The Advanced Leadership Initiative is a premier executive leadership development program that supports leaders who demonstrate vision, innovation, and dedication to the university’s future. ALI is offered through the University Design Institute, alongside the ASU Leadership Academy and the Launching Leaders Program.
